Strathclyde Country Park

A walk around Strathclyde Country Park.

Strathclyde loch, which the park is based around, is a man-made one, created in the 1970s by flooding some old mining works.

Located between Motherwell and Hamilton, beside the M74, so very easy to access.

The loch may be new, but beside it are the remains of a Roman fort and bath-house.
